I think we need to recognize that we have inner power even when we don't have outer power and that power is love and can unify us against the outer worldly powers that are threatening us. A willingness to stand together and sacrifice for each other is what is needed now, imo.
The philosophical shift from “God gave power to the king & aristocracy” to “God gave power to the people” was a social & political earthquake in human history. For too many generations we’ve failed to emotionally connect to the radicalism of the shift & to our need to protect it

Of course this is true, her point is that our paradigm as a civilization shifted from the previous philosophy in which many did see God as having divined Kings, and God as an authoritarian to a more democratic view of God
