I don't disagree, but keep in mind that the oligarchs want this too.
So the march of history, the improvements of former generations mean nothing to you. They do to me. We improved at times, slid back at times. The point is what we do in our own time.

What do you mean by "the improvements of former generations?" You cited specific issues: slavery, institutionalized white supremacy, institutionalized racism. How have they improved? They all exist because our national economy and power structure are built on them.
