Well, that’s sort of the point. “Karen” is a reminder to white women that despite their oppression as women, they hold certain privileges and can oppress others when they demand to speak to the manager or call the police on POC people just trying to have a cookout in the park.
I don’t see that as the point at all. The misogyny is still there. How is the white woman any more privileged than the white man? He, in fact, is more privileged than her. And how is demeaning any group a step on the path to where we want to be?
Stereotypes are dangerous. Every group has a shadow side, but identifying an entire group by their shadow is where the greatest evil comes from. The fact that it starts out as a “joke” just makes it even more dangerous. Trump does that. We shouldn’t. Just my opinion…

He is more privileged than her, but a white man and white woman are at a similar level relative to POC. The difference being highlighted by "Karen" is that a lot of wealthy white women see themselves as a marginalized group even in situations where they are among the oppressors.
White women are more privileged than white men by the simple fact that far more women are afforded the option of NOT working at all (sometimes after divorce) while so few men are not.
