If voting were theoretical, we could vote our preferred candidate. As a white, safe, comfortable American, it’s morally wrong for me to vote without context, ignoring the destruction that will fall on people with less safety & social power.

If it’s not too forward, can I ask you why we’re agreeing that voting is complicated and should be strategic, rather than simplifying it to “vote with your heart?”

Feelings are totally valid, I encourage and support them. If people feel differently, shouldn’t that be validated too?

It absolutely should. Everyone has their reasons and everyone can make valid points. People have different priorities, that's why they vote differently. I don't vote shame anyone and won't take vote shaming from anyone.
