There is no such thing as “well regulated” capitalism. Capitalism by nature is predatory.

I continue to believe that the most enlightened societies have both capitalist and socialist elements.

Sorry, I just can’t imagine an enlightened society where a person can declare they “own” land, not use or live on it, and charge someone else money to use or live on it. Especially on land conquered by colonialism, where the conquered still suffer.
