Exactly. Neither has any reason to change. Food industry externalizes its cost to Medical, Medical to insurance or Uncle Sam, and either of them to workers via taxes and/or lower wages.

Yes, and, grown in your own "backyard". So many vegetables come from microbiome depleted, glycophosphate laden soils, and monoculture. The ground from where our food comes from is sick.
