There is no such thing as “well regulated” capitalism. Capitalism by nature is predatory.

Private ownership and wage slavery are two completely different things. No, I don’t believe private ownership is inherently predatory. But wage slavery obviously is!

Someday, we'll get money out of politics, institute a wealth tax, a living wage, Medicare For All, etc... and we'll still be living under a system that exploits workers for surplus value, commodifies animal lives, and chases infinite growth on a planet with finite resources.

This is why Biden must be defeated. Preferably by a landslide. It's the best way to make one of the parties more progressive.

At the root of
#capitalism is a power structure that has a few select rich people at the top, controlling businesses, setting working conditions... and the mass of workers at the bottom, who have to live with whatever owners/investors decide to offer them. I wish that more people would follow your approach. Besides being a more accurate descriptor of the problem, “crony capitalism” is a much better enemy to rally people against.

Demonizing capitalism itself might feel emotionally satisfying, but it also alienates people who would otherwise be open to the message of economic populism. If the left wants to be insular and irrelevant, shrieking about capitalism is a good idea.
