2/ When I ran for Congress I ran as an Independent. George Washington warned us about political parties in his Farewell Address and the Constitution doesn’t even mention them. So I’m the last person delegitimizing third parties.
3/ I understand from experience -better than anyone other than Bernie- exactly what everybody’s talking about with this. My point remains the same, however. For me, I can’t go there as long as Donald Trump is up for re-election. He is that profoundly dangerous to me.

You need to talk to healed survivors and trauma informed psychologists about this. Please stop, take a step back and consider what we are saying.. you need more info in your mind to make a wise decision. Trump is not worse than Biden. He's just different.

I agree that Trump is a problem, but I don't understand how replacing him with the cause is our only (or best) option? This is seriously scary-- two old white men, both credibly accused of sexual assault, and both appear to be in mental decline? That's our hope for the future?

Biden is still merely the presumptive nominee. We don't have to make him the nominee. And now, you know, well before November, is the time to do it so we can run a proper candidate with real policies that help real people and not corporations.

They make this argument every 4 years Marianne. Trump is not that different from George W Bush in terms of institutional damage and moral bankruptcy and corruption. The list is long. At a certain point we have to start voting FOR what we want, not against what we don’t.

Gentle reminder: the primary is not over yet. Acting like it is and Biden is set in stone is profoundly dangerous too. These points would be more valid in November, but as of right now there are other possibilities. Also, you're so much better than voter shaming, don't do it.
