2/ When I ran for Congress I ran as an Independent. George Washington warned us about political parties in his Farewell Address and the Constitution doesn’t even mention them. So I’m the last person delegitimizing third parties.

3/ I understand from experience -better than anyone other than Bernie- exactly what everybody’s talking about with this. My point remains the same, however. For me, I can’t go there as long as Donald Trump is up for re-election. He is that profoundly dangerous to me.

And why on earth would you think that the reforms we need today won't similarly come from activism by third parties (not just them, but social movements generally)? How does voting for Biden build the third party we need?
