  Nearly half of all the food that's produced in the world each year gets wasted, mostly by farms and supermarkets. There's a big opportunity here. By ending food waste, we could in theory cut global emissions by 14%, and rewild 2.4 billion hectares of land.

  we need to go back somewhat to surplus food programs. Vegetables can be frozen. Milk and eggs can be dehydrated, cooked and frozen, potatoes can be just distributed. We as a country can't figure out how to drive things from point a to point b and we need to find people who can.
