1/ ‘It’s all about me’ is indeed toxic But I wonder if we’d hav the all about me culture if we weren’t so focused on increasing our wealth and power? The greed for wealth and power divides us - we don’t want to share The less support we have the more we look to wealth and power
2/ Looking more to wealth and power 4 security than to others will naturally focus us on it all ‘being about me’ - who else can I count on? But if we make connectn our priority- being close 2 and knowing each other - won’t we want to help others more? Can’t we put people 1st?
3/ I wonder, aren’t we more likely to care about those who care for us? Perhaps we might like to prioritize the people in our life ahead of accumulating more stuff than them? Then perhaps it will become more about ‘us’- the people I feel for - and less just about ourselves?
There is a message in this for our private life but there’s also a strong message as a nation: Those controlling/empowered forgot what $$ & blessings are for, we must remind them & show them the way. They also forgot: THEY MAKE THEIR MONEY FROM US & at the expense of NATURE too!
