The Democratic party should stand for something that's opposite to - not just a better version of - the fundamental corporatist paradigm that now dominates our system. Our promising to ameliorate the effects of injustice is not enough; we should stand for eradicating their cause.

Many of us remember a time when the Democratic party was not dominated by corporatists - when real liberals had power - and it's hard to give up on that ideal. More importantly, right now it's about timing if nothing else. We cannot let Trump win again!

Marianne I love you to pieces but corruption has existed in the party even since the FDR days, just look at what corporate Democrats did to his vice president Henry Wallace - a progressive ahead of his time. They couped against him. Just like Bernie.
