So... it’s time to reopen our schools?
With every child we undereducate & every person we fail to provide the opportunity to thrive, we deprive ourselves as a nation of our richest resource: an infinite potential for creativity and productivity that lies within us all. People are our greatest wealth & we squander it.

I often wonder how many Einstines, Mozarts, Shakespears . . . spent theirs lives in poverty, slavery . . . I am sure our world would have been so much richer and wonderful had we been better to our fellow humans. Who's gifts are we squandering now?

Let’s not forget the Mary Cassatts, Marie Curies and Ruth Bader Ginsbergs who, even when not in poverty, were not and are not allowed to express themselves or actualize their talents.

may we: - raise the median salary of teachers - critically assess teacher ed programs - generate a pipeline of teachers from diverse backgrounds - accept that there are many, many ways to teach children and young adults (outside of a classroom, a 8-3 schedule, grades)
