Where do you think the $738B latest defense budget came from? Or the 2018 $2T tax cut that went 83% to the richest? Or the $500B to bailout Wall Street? That's your tax money!

And who will produce for the needs of the locked down. This is the fundamental absurdity of all socialism. The belief that production and productivity persist without human agency. Magical thinking.

I agree, for the high risk population, but I'm not sure what we gain from freezing the entire economy. We can't wait out the virus, and freezing the economy is not viable long term. At this point, I'm not sure what we're accomplishing by maintaining all current restrictions.

What we're accomplishing? Really...? That's like saying to someone standing with you on the side of a busy freeway, "I don't know what we're accomplishing by not just trying to cross."

True @marwilliamson but until that happens, my livelihood turns into my health problems with time, as I eat a less healthy diet, do not access appropriate healthcare due to lack of money, and don’t forget about all the mental health ramifications of lockdown. It’s not a choice.

I understand what you're saying. I'm just pointing out that you're being deeply wronged by your government.
