But that was nothing compared to the financial power they were able to wield unduly influencing government starting in the 1980s and 1990s

Corporations in general ... the 80’s were a time when greed and excess were championed .... “Greed is good” was the Wall Street and corporate mantra ..... Congress throwing antitrust laws out the window was a fatal blow to the public
