Sure. We saw that a few years back with Russia and Georgia. That still does not make it our responsibility to be involved in the dispute at all.
The Middle East is a very big deal. The United States cannot sit that one out.

I disagree, especially when it comes to civil disputes - Middle East or not. It’s not our job to mediate. The Founders would agree with me as well. Our intervention in overseas affairs is what often leads to disasters in foreign policy and terrorist attacks on our citizens.
