To stand up for the most traditional pillars of American democracy - from freedom of speech to justice for our citizens to electoral integrity - is to risk being labeled a left wing extremist. The biggest challenge in America today is to avoid the temptation to simply give up.

Thank you. But say that. You are in a position of responsibility, your original post assumes a level of moral superiority on free speech by a certain political slant, when none of them have a good history in regards to free speech. Take everyone to task on it.

Ofc but the existence of actual extremists has nothing to do with being labelled one for simply being left-wing. A right-winger is never called an extremist–yet by their own definition of left-wingers, should be.

I see the term right wing extremist used on a pretty regular basis. In some cases replaced with right wing white nationalist, etc., but the meaning is the same.
