Here I thought it was because this was a brand new virus and we were running out of money and racking up ridiculous debt...but it must be because we can’t love.
We have the money for their endless wars. We had the money for their tax cuts for the 1per cent. We have the money to bail out Wall Street. Let’s not pretend this is about lack of money; it’s about how we spend it.
And NO. We didn’t have the money for those things either which is why we are over $20 trillion dollars in debt!!!
We’re in debt as we are because we no longer tax corporations fairly but rather give them play money for no reason other than that they hold undue influence in Congress. And because we keep too many people at near-survival, thus unable to express their creativity and productivity

I’m against continuing endless wars but we absolutely need to continue to pay for the strongest military because it’s basically all that defends us and backs our currency. If none of us have jobs, no one is going to be able to fund the healthcare system.
