No it’s not. This is about unethical people and their misuse of an inherently neutral economic system. There is such a thing as righteous profit, but in a situation of national emergency profit shouldn’t even be a factor at all. This isn’t even profit, it’s complete price gouging

Respectfully, I disagree. Capitalism is about who gets ahead, if you get ahead you are rewarded. Whoever accumulates capital fastest has the advantage. Whoever wins is the best capitalist. Ethics are just a barrier, or at best a smokescreen. You are good, but this system isn't.

I agree. Democratic Socialism, as in Denmark, seems to work & is based on a Capitalist framework. A lot depends on the attitudes & values of individuals within a culture. Socialism, in itself, does not gurantee individuals valuing and helping others, as history has shown.

The economic system, the political system and the core system of individual values of a nation all interact, but they are different systems. There can be many combinations, some opressive & some providing opportunities for everyone to thrive.
