Don’t forget: we have elections in November. Be active in your own state, too. There’s a lot to change - I know about that quite well - but as I’ve heard Bernie say, “despair is not an option.” Other generations have made extraordinary changes and we will too.

This is a world wide issue. Tell that to India or Pakistan ur Indonesia or even Japan who lets radiation into the Pacific Ocean. China and Vietnam and Japan and Noth Korea all snd over fish. Still the USA is a major target.

It’s not a matter of being a target. It’s a matter of being a responsible nation. The fact that other people are reckless doesn’t mean that we should be. We should hold ourselves to a higher standard.

I'm afraid this crisis only serves to highlight how woefully incapable the human race is of dealing with big, global issues. This, along with the tragic end of the dem primary, have obliterated all of my hope for the future.

Humanity is not incapable at all; we’ve simply allowed our government to be taken over by those who are unwilling. As far as the primary is concerned, it’s a huge problem I admit - but even that can be changed.
