Perhaps the Iranian government could redirect their spending on nuclear weapons development and funding of terrorism - which creates more victims - and use it for the benefit of their people.

Perhaps. Perhaps we here in the USA could “redirect our spending on nuclear weapons” and use the money for the benefit of our people? And set an example for Iran, and for all nations, that such weapons are useless after all. Perhaps? Just asking.
