Biden’s statement was very nice & deeply appreciated by many, including myself. I’ll vote for him if he’s the nominee. But I’d suggest something much more real from @joebiden if we’re to give people a sense that the Dem Party is an embracing place for progressives: Replace Perez.

Biden is against Medicare For All Marianne. That would allow people like me to stay alive.

And that’s why we need to be very loud now, and not back down. This pandemic contextualizes Medicare for All in a whole new way. That’s true for me even; I wasn’t convinced before, but I realize that the specter of the virus will be with us for the rest of our lives & we need it.

First and foremost, I'm a huge fan of yours. But please be careful with your platform, Ms. Williamson. We need to defeat Trump at all costs, and then, we can worry about what to do with Perez and more.

That’s exactly my point! We must defeat Trump, and we will not do it if progressives don’t vote for him. We need to demonstrate actual respect for progressive values and that would mean first and foremost getting rid of the architect of the policy that shut them out.
