US govt like a dinosaur to a house fire: slow, sluggish, not quite getting it (leadership means staying ahead of the game, not coming up behind it.) Food banks already overwhelmed. Tsunami of mass hunger in the distance. Military should be organizing now for free food delivery.

No. Alacrity is the issue. Investment in public need is the issue. Not starving needed agencies is the issue.

Individual personal agency and liberty are the remedy. If people starve, it will be because they submitted to cages like good little puppy dogs.

Individual agency would work if everyone already had a plot of land to grow food on before this happened but they don't. We have an interdependent world and people who have more than enough need to start giving their stuff away to people who need it.

However in Washington a drop in funding is just considered, decreasing the percentage that they are increaythe funding.
