A lot of people, both theists and atheists, struggle with the idea that God is natural if God exists and that the concept of God is the foundation of that which we consider natural. God is not some babysitter or caretaker we can blame or pardon. If we could, we would be God.

The pop culture schema of God informs the definition we hear atheists arguing against. This is a straw man. The God of the atheist is a projection of man. The God that spins the universe(s) into fruition needs not our judgements and fearful conjectures.
