Today is rent day for millions of Americans & that’s not an April fool’s joke. Without more than a $1200 one time payment coming in, millions don’t know how they’re going to pay the rent & also eat. There were already 40m hungry people in the US. Food shortages are rushing at us
Old people who live alone, who depend on others shopping for them who aren’t now available to do so. Multiply that scenario by millions & that’s what we’re dealing with. Our political leaders should be talking about this. It’s not just the virus: there’s much attendant suffering.

I am asking my lender for a hardship forbearance on my mortgage to help my tenants out: reduce our payment to interest, tax, insurance, utilities, and essential maintenance only until we are forward in the new normal. Reduce and share the burden.
