When every citizen has the best public education in the world, a free higher ed/technical school beyond that, accessible health insurance and college loan debts cancelled, there will be an explosion of creativity and productivity in this country unlike anything we’ve ever seen.

So when someone says “Oh that sounds good but how would we pay for it?”- ask them how we paid for that bailout the other day. And helping the people thrive, removing the crushing economic burden that sits on top of so many people, will create a lot money by the way. For everyone.

Nooooo don't say "accessible". It's how they frame it so we don't say we need universal coverage

But the government's money IS the people's money! It's our tax dollars! So we should allow that money to go almost exclusively to the wealthiest individuals and corporations but then call that a lesson in soul growth? Hardly. Such ridiculousness IS the problem to solve!

Absolutely! It's like what you said, Marianne: withholding people from having a great, public education is a form of passive oppression. People having access to a great, public education is one component of "What helps people thrive?". (1/2)
