Trump’s win was shocking but not surprising to anyone really looking. People felt legitimate economic rage; they knew the system was rigged against them.Trump named that rage & so did Bernie. Someone who refused to even name their pain had no chance in ‘16, nor will they in 2020.

To the extent to which that’s true, I think it’s because they had been propagandized to believe that “the other” was the reason for their economic anxiety.

More than that people were tired of politicians looking our for themselves, no offense intended. Many voted for Obama for the same reason to shake up government and change statues quo.

Trump said what he needed to say to win. Bernie actually meant it and still does. Biden is no longer a viable candidate to beat Trump, if he ever was. The DNC might as well be the GOP right now.
