I do not understand how a one- time payment of $1200 is going to be enough. It’s not just whether or not the virus will be kept at bay; it’s whether or not despair will be kept at bay. Putting tens of millions of people at risk for such intense anxiety is a recipe for disaster.

We can do better. I know if Marianne Williamson was president right now, she would be bringing together people who have experience & knowledge in handling humanitarian crises & putting everyone to work on the innovative solutions they would come up with.

In NZ we are in complete lockdown except for essential services. Anyone who cannot work due to this is entitled to $580 a week until we get back to work. We do not have the wealth in our country that the US does. You can do much better. The people need to demand better.
