Private industry could have been directed weeks ago to manufacture all necessary medical equipment. Doctors, even governors were begging for it. Those responsible for the withhold of resources have betrayed this nation. This problem is not complicated. It is horrifyingly simple.

Why the didn't govenors of effected states approach firms to begin stepping up production? It is there job you know. Why must it be a dictate at the Federal level?
Governors cannot direct private industry to do anything. They made it clear they would pay any price. It’s on the federal level that the president could have directed the manufacture of needed equipment.

How then can the Gov of Nevada direct how the FDA approved drug hydroxychloroquine is prescribed and used relative to COVID-19? OR dictate business closures under threat of fines and loss of license. I think You underrepresent the power of governors.
