... but trying to force other grown men and women to reverse their public endorsement of another political candidate is a complete waste of time. Public figures don't make consequential statements like that in without thought and in some cases prayer. We should respect that.

You dont think it has anything to do w/ compromising out of a dissociated attitude of personal convientance & fear? I mean at least for some of them? Because I absolutely think it does. I think some of them are more afraid for themself than they are for us.
