It may sound silly but the kids movie Inside Out painted this picture brilliantly. Every feeling and every emotion has its place, we must go through them instead of trying not to feel, so that we may eventually get to that other side.pic.twitter.com/2qshNdjQJH

yup, there is remorse, there is sadness, like when I found out that my community is being sheltered in place until April 7, because 2 people were found to have coronavirus & the results being empty shelves, weekly newspaper staff cut by 7 people, food banks empty or closed

When we connect to our emotions, we connect to ourselves & to our deeper wisdom & knowing. When we are connected to ourselves, we can have true empathy & compassion for others. You have to feel it to heal it. The solution is not to avoid/escape/distract/numb instead.
