The Glass-Steagall Act is a 1933 law that separated investment banking from retail banking. Investment banks organized the initial sales of stocks, called an initial public offering. It was during the Clinton administration the law was revoked. The 2008 recession resulted.

Lets not forget the free trade under clinton that let corps undermine the rest of those rules. "Don't want to follow our standards? Use the rest of the world as your playground!"
