40% of Americans could not handle a $400 unexpected expenditure. With what is happening now, for millions of Americans that day just arrived. We need immediate economic relief straight into the hands of people and we need it now.

Still looking into Ro Khanna's bill. Gabbard's H.Res.897 is a truly universal income since it applies to everyone, goes around the bureaucratic red tape of proving your poverty, and will also work as a stimulus to the economy, therefore killing two birds with one stone.

I know many who work freelance or in contract positions that were unable to provide the paper trail and proof of income necessary for relief if they lack a stable income or if they work sporadic gigs and multiple positions. A UBI without means testing is more straightforward IMO.

Yes. I appreciate that you mention it Ms. Marianne. I just want to say anything that involves means testing (ie. only certain percentage of the pop) and not everyone will be gutted easily. If it helps everyone, even those who don't need it, it will be harder to cut.

Gabbards resolution was denied as of her last report. Khanna/Ryan bill uses the word "worker" -which is a concern. That's all I know so far.
