One of the things I’m most worried about is elderly people in their homes alone who wouldn’t have anyone to bring them food if they get sick. If you’re young & healthy, one of the best things you can do for yourself is to start thinking about how you might help someone who’s not.

You might want to start some kind of a blog or support group. Many elderly people are online and could really use some peer support.

Didn't you start a non-profit charity with food delivery during a viral outbreak being it's thing? (You did) You've got the experience and reach, and I know that you can hear history's call. (We never left Orbmom 🔮, we're all doing our part)

Yes, I founded an organization in Los Angeles called Project Angel Food. It has served 12 million meals now, and I’m sure the current leadership will do great things to show up for this crisis.

Even if they aren’t sick, they might be terrified of going out and will still need food.

But also bear in mind that you may be carrying the virus even if you aren't presenting symptoms. https://www.linkedin.com/content-guest/article/notes-from-ucsf-expert-panel-march-10-dr-jordan-shlain-m-d-/ …

I hear that. But there will be a way of delivering food to people that doesn’t involve risky contact.
