People with corona symptoms having to go back to work - many who handle our food btw- because we have no federally mandated sick leave. Nor do we have adequate preparedness. This is what happens when private short term profit is placed before public investment in the common good.

Is what happens when our politicians sold our nation out to China. The fact that we are depending on China for antibiotic manufacturing is utterly disgusting.

Absolutely it’s the politicians - including the current administration - which has reduced investment in preparedness, including related science and manufacturing. That’s their job!

OK it just occurred to me that you must be talking about the cuts in the CDC. There is nothing factual to substantiate that I have seen at least, that proves that has any impact on what’s happening today.

Hi. 37 out of 47 pandemic centers were closed. Study of coronavirus had been turned down for funding. Also, see a book called “The Fifth Risk” by Michael Lewis.
