When things are disappointing on the outside, the key to transforming them lies on the inside. Anger and fear can be aroused by external events, but if we feel the sadness and ask how we might be even better going forward then they can make us even stronger than we were before.

Is that an apology for discounting black voters with your "coup" nonsense?https://twitter.com/QueenTiye/status/1235196459395543040?s=20 …

If anyone wants to know something about a Biden win, or a Trump one in 2016, this is it. FAILING to acknowledge the PEOPLE who voted, their needs and priorities and thinking about how to message to their needs, is insulting to voters. #YangGang OUGHT to know this, /1/

OK, I'd like to agree with you on this. I like Marianne, and contributed to her campaign (very little admittedly). But she characterized yesterday's vote outcome as a coup. Yesterday's vote outcome involved hundreds of thousands of black folks voting. How is that a coup?

No, I did not characterize the vote as a coup. I characterized what happened the night before as a coup, which is very different. I deleted the tweet because the language was incendiary for many people and just got in the way of helpful conversation.

Honestly, Marianne, I think many people who found you to be a charming breath of fresh air in the Democratic primary are disappointed right now. You spoke eloquently about needing to have positive energy in our political process but now you're promoting dark conspiracy theories.

Hi @marwilliamson. Respectfully, what is the difference you intended? What "coup" occurred the night before, that was worse than russian interference, and what, precisely, was taken over? OR, did you mean the other sense of the word? https://bit.ly/39z00jj

Would you agree that the coordination of Buttigieg, Klobuchar, Beto and others on Monday to reduce voters' options and consolidate moderate support for Biden, was "a notable or successful stroke or move" on the part of the Democratic party establishment?
