Do you realize that the police department is basically a socialist institution? As is the fire department?

There is a big difference between having police departments and fire departments funded by our taxes and being a Socialist Country.
There's a difference between a socialist country and democratic socialist policies- the latter will always include capitalism, it just allows for more/better social services and programs. None of us want socialism, nor would we ever have it with our government make-up.
Bless these people's hearts that are replying to you about socialism never. They DIDN'T get the best education and still to this day listen to the MSM that feeds misinformation but they don't have any way of knowing that! I only know because I stopped tv watching 20 years ago!
Thank you for pointing that out...we have a lot of socialist initiatives already...for farmers, for SS, education....what is wrong with improving the quality of life for more of our citizens? This fear of the word, "socialist" is ridiculous.
