40% of Americans couldn’t cover a $1,000 unexpected expenditure. That’s not just an economic disadvantage; it’s a source of chronic tension & anxiety. If our political establishment wants to help with the mental health crisis it might start by not leaving so many in such despair.

You see, I love all of those ideas, but I fear they’re not immediately achievable. Do you think it they should all be completed immediately or phased in gradually over, say, two decades? I know we need change, but I fear alienating people who need to vote for it.

We could begin by repealing the 2017 tax cut, which gives $.83 of every dollar to the very richest Americans. Yes it could be repealed immediately, although the middle class tax cuts should be put back in. That tax cut went into effect in one day and it can be repealed in one day

UBI should come before M4A, because it's money that people can choose to use for whatever they want, and will be beneficial to everyone immediately.
-
It would also involve the least bureaucratic disentanglement.

I’m still against free tuition at the university level. There are too many degrees with little to no ROI. We need to gut ‘general electives’ (utter nonsense classes made to pad your time in the program) and other aspects where college is designed to be overly expensive.

We pay $2T (97.8%).Employee-owners can double pay and work 1/2 the hours.pic.twitter.com/yJoklz0GZp
