Many of the people yelling “Bernie could never beat Trump!” know in their hearts that maybe he could - but they themselves don’t want it so they’re just saying that. “He’s too extreme!” What an age we’re living in, that healthcare and education and justice for all seem “extreme.”

That's his only option. The only other option isn't very appealing to many. I would argue a number of Democrats probably wouldn't be Dems, but there's really no other choice thanks to our wonky system.
