Many of the people yelling “Bernie could never beat Trump!” know in their hearts that maybe he could - but they themselves don’t want it so they’re just saying that. “He’s too extreme!” What an age we’re living in, that healthcare and education and justice for all seem “extreme.”

I dunno about that.
@AndrewYang may have suspended his campaign, but the#humanityfirst and#math movements are getting people to look at each other beyond their political parties and that’s why there’s candidates running on UBI now. It's not about being nice it's about recognizing the political demographics of the country. We'll lose moderate seats back to the Republicans with Bernie. It will galvanize the right. The answer is to come up with a vision that makes sense enough to be backed by their own voters.
-
I'm sorry but Bernie is not offering that vision. He will not unify this country towards common purpose.

In order to get some GOOD things in place, the DEMs need to win the POTUS race against proven and improving interference from Russia, retain the House in many areas that *moderates* won, and take the Senate in "purple" States too. DEMS can't accomplish that with Sanders at top.
-
The opposite is true. Bernie has by far the most potent movement at his back, of independents, disaffected voters and young people. Those people are going to vote downballot when they go to the polls, and swing both Congress chambers in our favor. We need raw enthusiasm right now

"Obama was the great accommodater and Mitch still tried to obstruct him on everything." McConnell did what Gingrich et al told him to do. Aim for a Congress reversal in 2010 and increase GOP holds on State Houses. Then cripple the Black vote, and win in 2016. For the *COURTS*.
-
Let's argue for our deepest convictions, not compromise before we even know the Congress composition or before any political fight has started. That was Obama, Clinton's mistakes: triangulating to accomodate the GOP + both their donors, letting the republicans move further right
