Biggest problem with misuse & abuse of US military power is it leaves us w/out moral authority to apply it when it’s the right thing to do. We should use force when:US is directly threatened, an ally directly threatened, or humanitarian order of the world is directly threatened.

Our defense budget should reflect legitimate security needs but instead reflects hundreds of billions above that. Bloomberg said it’s good because it reflects what it will take “to fight the wars of the future.” The only way to win the future is to use that money to create peace.

YES. I just watched your interview with
@RubinReport where you discussed amending and atoning for civil rights. Your point about us needing to close the gap rang in my head for days. I feel we need to approach our foreign policy in much the same way. Apologize, atone, heal.
