In the current healthcare debate, primary focus is on the undue influence of health insurance companies. But we should be just as focused on the undue influence of pharmaceutical companies.

Every time a doctor makes a diagnosis, patients should be guaranteed information regarding nonsurgical or non-pharmaceutical remedies statistically proven to be equally efficacious. And Insurance should have to cover those at the same rate.

Preach. My wife is a reiki master. After seeing the types of transformations her clients go through- real emotional healing- I can't believe her work is not covered.

What she's saying, though, is that it has to have efficacy proven by scientific methods for it to be paid for.

I denied conventional meds, did my research and chose a holistic health route 10 years so far after a breast cancer diagnosis. 20 doctors at 7 hospitals were less educated than me, trained in chemicals and toxic tests. I watched women go the other route and many didn't make it.
