New Zealand’s mention was due to the fact that its PM has declared her goal that NZ be the best place in the world for a child to grow up. What’s “disproportionate” - and corrupt - in our politics that we are NOT discussing millions of chronically traumatized children in the US.

I remember! All I mean is that NZ doesn't often get mentioned in our political discourse. Maybe they should more - we could use more compassion and humanity in our politics and Jacinda Ardern has been exemplary on that front.
