• 39% of respondents were food insecure in the prior 30 days
• 46% of respondents were housing insecure in the previous year
How did this happen? How are we not talking about it?

We need to be talking and doing something. In these conditions, kids are likely also experiencing the trauma of stress and lack of food and basic supplies. They are not thriving. M Williamson talked about this during her campaign.

Yes I did, and I’ve been sorry to see no other campaign take it up. I will continue to speak about it and I’ll advocate for this critically traumatized population in whatever way I can. There are very sick traumatized children and adolescents that are not being taken care of. The facilities around the country are not equipped to help them and they are being released back on the streets with no help. These children will either hurt themselves or hurt others!
