“Agency capture” is when agencies set up to advocate for the health and well-being of the American people instead transition into advocacy for the very forces whose overreach they were set up to protect us from. Today’s EPA is an example.https://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5e384be0c5b69a19a4b39504 …

How does this happen and how do we stop it and prevent it from happening again?

This is why we should give the government the least power possible, because agencies are AlLWAYS captured by the industries they claim to regulate, in order to stifle competition and keep new entrants out of their captive markets.

Someone needs to regulate chemical use. Just need life sentences for corrupt officials.

This is horrible, small piece of a lot more de-regulation & unwarranted approvals, damages are unbelievable.

It is hard to think of an agency where this isn’t the case and it isn’t a new thing. The CDC is my least favorite but the FDA and EPA win second and third place.

Marianne - please keep talking about this. It is one of the most powerful topics you talk about and very few other politicians are talking about it.
