And yet the independent voters in our district continue to vote their old party even when a strong independent runs. Voters are supporting the duopoly while complaining about it. For President, we have no good choice. But for the House, everyone please vote against duopoly.

The voters in this case are members of the Democratic Party. You choose to join that party. Or you’re popping by as a guest to their party. Either way that’s how it works. Their game. Their rules. They literally pick the winner.

If you listen to the podcasts you will see that with many people in the race letting the people completely vote causes candidates with a hardcore base to do better because the other candidates split the vote. Ranked-choice voting would reduce this effect.
