Don’t think attending a march is going to fix this. During the Viet Nam War era marches mattered more; today’s opponents of democracy do not CARE how many people march! This is about raw electoral power. The most important march now is the march to the polls.

What happens if we march to the polls and they still win? Sigh. Lol, I’m a little distraught right now. Tomorrow will be better.

What does that matter if they're rigging machines and cheating?! If we can't have fair elections than how can we have any power in the polls?!?!?!?!

Mitt Romney has a financial interest in those machines and Avid Tech which feeds the network talking heads their talking points.

Marianne, in those days marches disrupted the flow of capital, just like strikes & boycotts. Slowly, over the past 40 years, our power has been stripped until psychologically we can muster nothing more than vented moral outrage & a visit to the polls. We need to regain our power!

Symbolically, we were transitioned in 1978 from the impassioned square-knuckled power fist of strength and unity used by black militants, peace activists & labor to the cocked and whiny fist of moral outrage used by BLM and teacher's unions. Where is the power in whining?

At the very least, I think marches and protests bring people and ideas together and show us that we're not alone. We have become divided and that makes us easy to play. Anything that helps people unite is a good thing, imo.

Voting reform is essential first, but it’s a Catch-22.

Very true. In many states, including mine here in PA, electronic voting machines don't print a verifiable paper ballot or record of any kind. Voting in the US has become a joke. Unfortunately the gullible citizenry is part of the joke too.
