One of the problems with many on the Left is that we get very activated by the adrenaline-filled presidential contests, sometimes midterms. Other side of the political spectrum remains attuned to political issues - even the more boring ones - throughout the year. We need to, too.

I think politics are made boring and complicated on purpose to divert our attention. The bureaucracy, the opaque language, the lack of transparency. What I loved about your campaign is that you dug down to the core issues that we all care about rather than piling on more BS.

We need to draw people from the middle with a common-sense approach to leadership. It's the extreme voices that get attention, and draw us further apart. It's time we support sensible, problem solving leadership.
