Our economic system was designed before women had a real say in the public sphere, and when care of children was seen as “women’s work.” But we do have a voice now and we should use it loudly on behalf of America’s children (all America’s children, and the children of the world).
I support UBI as well, but we shouldn’t kid ourselves that it’s going to solve all the problems of the world. Corrupt systems still need to be corrected.

I don't think anyone is claiming UBI is something that will solve every problem. UBI just makes problems easier to solve. It's easier to get people to fight against corrupt systems if they don't need to worry about putting food on their table or roof over their heads. It's step 1
