You apparently are much older than I am. I grew up watching GI Joe and Transformers. However: It is not the state's responsibility to instill values into children. Give them an education, and let morals and values be taught by their parents.

eating healthy is education (health, nutrition) not “morals or values”. but morals&values should is part of curriculum in every school. they have to teach kids that stealing, not sharing, bullying is bad, that sharing, community, empathy is good.

With the technology we have today, we can surely stop processing food using early 20th century means and methods. Adding electronics and robotics to the proceeding does not mean improving the method, it only means improving the efficiency.
